About Us

Macarthur Parkour started as a group of local friends who simply loved training together. We grew up exploring the area, learning new skills, supporting each other, and discovering not only how much fun parkour was, but how much it could help us grow in confidence, creativity, and resilience.

What began as a few friends training outdoors gradually grew into a wider community dedicated to making parkour more accessible in the Macarthur region. As more people became interested, we started sharing local spots, running community sessions, and helping complete beginners take their first steps into the sport.

Since then, many of our athletes have gone on to train, compete, and travel around the world through parkour. Through those experiences, we’ve gained valuable knowledge, connections, and opportunities that we now aim to pass on to the next generation entering the community.

Today, Macarthur Parkour helps beginners learn parkour in a safe, structured, and welcoming environment. Through coaching, community events, online resources, and athlete development pathways, we aim to help every student build confidence, develop real skills, make lasting friendships, and discover what they’re truly capable of.

Whether your goal is to get active, overcome challenges, learn impressive skills, or eventually travel and compete through parkour, we’re here to help guide that journey

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Parkour?

Parkour is the discipline of moving through any environment efficiently using only your body.

You choose a starting point A and a finishing point B, then use your physical skills to get between them as quickly or creatively as you can.

As you develop new skills, you start to see the world like a playground, and you master the art of flowing between obstacles faster and more creatively.

Is Parkour Safe?

When done properly, Yes.

Real parkour training is about understanding risk and safe impact control, not stunts.

As you develop more complex skills to overcome different obstacles, you learn what your body is capable of and how to work with what you have. Everyone is different and moves uniquely.

Your job as a parkour athlete is to find your style, work with the body you have, and create your own freedom of movement.

Do I need to be athletic or experienced to start?

Not at all...

Parkour is for everyone at any age and skill level. We use our bodies to get out of bed, walk up stairs, climb over rocks on a hike. It's still parkour, you're still overcoming an obstacle. The practice of parkour is just about being more efficient at conquering those obstacles.

So no matter your experience or age, everyone needs to overcome physical obstacles in life, and parkour is the practice that lets you do it well.

So why wait? You already do parkour. Let's take it to the next level!
